The face fabric of the Roman shade falls from the front of the headrail. The roll shade is mounted towards the back of the headrail and is made of solar fabric.

Because there are two shades with separate lifting systems, a larger headrail is required. If the shade is an inside mount, make sure the window frame is deep enough to accommodate it.

The Roman shade is operated with a cord and pulley system. For this type of shade, this is generally easier to operate, and more durable, than a cord lock system. CCO or motorized lifting systems are available as options.

The roll shade is operated with a CCO lifting system. Motorization is available as an option.
